Traditional Buddhist prayer and meditation beads
This section is for those wanting a mala. Malas are the traditional prayer beads used by buddhists during meditations as a counting tool and to help enhance the meditative state. A mala is similar to the catholic rosarie and used in somewhat the same way. I make them in many different types of stones, including jade, hematite, amber, quartz, amethyst, and so on. All you do is sellect the stones you wish, the size of the mala, and how many of each stone you have selected you wish to be used. Example: a 54 bead mala consisting of jade, amber, and hematite, with 25 jade, 15 amber, and 10 hematite. Each mala will be unique and one of a kind. No 2 will have the same pattern. Malas come in 3 different sizes. 27 bead, 54 bead, and 108 bead lengths. Beads are 7 to 8mm in diameter which is aprox 1/4 inch is size. Most are hand carved, so size will vary between 7 and 8mm. |
